Can Plastic Surgery Make You a Real-Life Doll?
Say hello to real-life Barbie—and Ken. It was a match made in, what seems like, a kid’s toy store.
It is the latest story in the plastic surgery craze—the French couple Quentin Dehar, 23, and Anastasia Reskoss, 20, met two years ago and they fell in love at the first sight.
They already knew they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together—as Barbie and Ken.
With their parents’ blessings—and funds— the young couple forked a whopping $322,728 on two boob jobs, four nose jobs, lip injections, butt implants, cheek fillers, ear reshaping surgery, eye bag removal surgery, fake tanning, teeth whitening, nail extensions and dental veneers.
Needless to say, they now go by “Ken’ and “Doll.”
According to NY Daily News, “When I laid eyes on Quentin for the first time, I knew that I’d found the love of my life,” said Anastasia.
“We were at a boat party in Saint Tropez and Quentin walked over to me and said ‘I’ve found the Barbie to my Ken.’
“It was so straightforward,” she added. “We both knew we had met a partner who was going to enable us to become the Ken and Barbie we had always dreamed of being.”
Our appearance has an impact on how others perceive us; this may explain the larger-than-life plastic surgery phenomenon.
Many of us are born with natural defects such as cleft pallet, dark birthmarks on the face, or even scars.
Thanks today’s to advanced technology, these corrections can be achieved through facial plastic surgery with the help of expert cosmetic surgeons.
Other people may look perfect but still desire to look like famous celebrity or a pop culture icon—even dolls.
Plastic surgery is vast umbrella of procedures hosting numerous treatments designed to correct every inch of one’s body. For cosmetic surgery, the patient seeks to change certain aspect on his or her physical appearance or form especially in the face, like facelift, eyelid lift or nose surgery.
Body contouring surgery comprises of a wide range of reconstructive surgery treatments aimed to remove sagging and extra fat and to improve the shape and tone of underlying tissues.
The result is a body with smoother contours. Body treatments—for women and men—include breast implants, male breast reduction, liposuction and tummy tuck.
Quentin and Anastasia are two of many people looking to reflect their inner desire to transform themselves into pop culture icons they idol.
Whether you wish to be Batman or Robin, plastic surgery has proved to be an effective way to look one’s best and correct physical defects.
“It was so straightforward,” she added. “We both knew we had met a partner who was going to enable us to become the Ken and Barbie we had always dreamed of being.”
“Plastic surgery is our passion,” added Quentin. “We want to spend the rest of our lives together morphing into the dolls we love. Our parents don’t call us Anastasia and Quentin anymore — they call us Barbie and Ken!”
